The Languge Killer

Yo cuhs, do you know what the language killer is in our society? Do you know how it's killing the language?

As many of you guys guessed, it is the INTERNET who the KILLER is. As you all know internet is the best thing in the world. It has improved our lives by allowing use to do work more time efficiently without doing much of physical works. These advantages of Internet are becoming more and more problematic as it develops through time to time. One of the most important aspect that are disappearing in our life is using native language. Since the invention of the Internet, people are getting more exposures to foreign languages that they lose their native languages, which means there are less languages that are being used in today's world. This problem was started when more people get access to the internet and started to spend more time with foreign languages when they are using the internet. "In a 2009 UNESCO report that monitored the languages of websites from 1996 to 2008, researchers found that 45 percent of the content on the web was in English." Can you imagine how much the 45 percent of the contents are??? Probably not because it is too big for human to count!!! Now, do you want to still use Internet and lose your native language. I don't!!!

I found this article that shows how many languages have been extincted and how many are in danger.
There has been many discussion whether Internet is worth keep developing when we are losing one of the most important aspect of life. This article allows you to think what the answer is.

It says that "43 percent of the world’s population or 3 billion people are now online with some form of regular access to the Internet" and these people are not aware of them losing their language. The reason why "2,500 of the over 7,000 spoken languages in the world are considered endangered" is that those 2,500 languages are not capable of  “digital ascent.” That is, they won’t make the leap to online written usage.

YOU HEAR THAT!! 2,500 LANGUAGES ARE IN DANGER. DAAAMMMMNNN INTERNET!!!

Because of these unfortunate reasons people cannot use their languages when they are on the Internet.

I know this is sad but, it is the reality. Some of the people might think, "Well it is not my problem."

Well @#$# you. I don't know who you are, but I know you are an $#@#ing uneducated. Also, I honestly think that the Internet can support all the languages without any cost, but I don't know who is the 'Director of Language' in the Internet.

The article is stating this because it is important to protect every cultures in our world. These languages that are in dangers are also very valuable cultures that have been carried down from people's ancestors. Just because only small amount of people are using it, it doesn't mean that it is okay to put aside and not care about it. It is important to protect every cultures in our society to allow people to express themselves.

BE KNOWLEDGEABLE AND PROTECT THE CULTURE
