Now a days all people do during dinner are GO one their phones, text OTHER people instead of talking to the damn in flesh ones sitting next to them. Or they gotta Instagram and snapchat the food. U.K. Gotta let the world know that IM EATING A FLIPPING BURGER K COOL TBH NO ONE CARES. Why do these people even bother to go out for lunch or dinner or even to hang out with others, just grab dinner over Skype. Seems a a lot more efficient. At least the table ur gonna occupy will be free for humans who like to talk to other humans with the mouth they've been given. IKR ASTOUNDING.
The reality of the cartoon above is sadly an everyday occurrence, for not only kids but parents too. Honestly a lot of the times many parents and kids dont even interact when they come home, unless theyre being called down for dinner or something. Isn't that insane, like yall live in the same house!
I see this so often even in my own household and it makes me mad and kinda sad. I get hella pissed when I'm out with family our friends and they whip out their phone while waiting for the food.
And I just awkwardly stare at them like hellloooooo u wanna talk? Ask me something? Cmon go for it? If they just keep checking their phone and aren't engaged I usually just end up reading the menu again, check out the people at the place (cause Im a nosy creep) and make a mental note to myself to never go out for anything with this..."thing".
As per me I feel that when out with friends, phones should not be making an appearance.
In fact, I once saw a post by the ever so famous Kendall Jenner... and yes i see the irony of the photo too LMAO
But she sorta has a point, stacking the phones like that is a smart idea to get everyone interacting. Ive even heard of people taking it up a notch and adding a rule.Whoever reaches for their phone first, HAS TO PAY FOR THE ENTIRE FLIPPING TABLES DINNER! LOL aint nobody gonna be laying a finger on those phones now.
This issue irked me a lot this weekend when I was at a restaurant and a small child maybe like 1 year old or something. It was still in a high chair for goodness sake WAS BEING FED WHILE IT WAS WATCHING BARNEY OR SOME SHOW ON THE IPAD. I REPEAT AN IPAD. the device was bigger than half the child itself. I just stood there and stared like "huh?" Wtf? Can these people even parent? The mom would feed the baby, eat her meal, talk to the husband and check on the other slightly older child who was doing what you may ask? Oh yeah u guessed he WAS ON HIS PHONE!
Another pet peeve of mine is when people post their meals. I mean im guilty of doing this, of course if i a see a gorgeous meal Imma take a picture. But I'm never that person to sit there at that moment editing and uploading that photo. Like pls, the world could have waited an hour or two or UNTILL you got home to post your tumblr worthy picture of tacos.
Im not saying stop taking pictures of food all together, but there's a limit you know.
Know your limit, post within it... (LOL IM SO FUNNY HAHAHA)

Your cell phone has already replaced you camera, your calendar, your alarm clock...Don't let it replace your family.
