Solve: Internet=Life-Sleep

Hello, my little ones, it's Moi again

So I was scrolling through twitter, literally my everyday life. This suddenly this thing  popped up in my timeline and I was like...

cuz lezberealz when something shows up at the perfect time that you can use, it feels like your on cloud nine.

As you can see above, this little fella decided to drop its self into my life and what better time to do so than now. In the situation that your'e new to this whole internet game, this right here is a tweet posted on twitter. Twitter is an online social media database that I use to catch up on the lives of celebs and friends but also to read funny and relatable tweets or serious ones too. It allows me to connect to the world, so it in its self is very helpful.

The tweet above was sent out April 8th, 2016 at 5:22 PM. The tweet from @Fact says:

"Things that keep you up at night: loneliness, cold, heat, hunger, late night texting, memories, over thinking, worries and the interet.

The purpose of this tweet, was to show, comedically, how much the internet really plays a role in our life and specifically our sleeping habits. Not only does it includes serious problems like worry and hunger but sarcastic ones too like the internet. Actually speaking, does the internet really play that much of a role in our life that it's affecting our sleeping habits?

I assume by just reading the tweet that its main focus audience was youth. I say this because firstly the tweet was sent out on twitter. I mean how many old people do you know on twitter? All parents and older people in relation to social media <--. Like really I know IB kids not up to level with their social media game. Let alone adults. Omg, No. smh.  🙄

So yes, this was made for us the children aka the cool people, *dab*. Yet is it really just a comedic tweet, or is it actually a fact? In this tweet we obviously can see that it's actually not that much of a typical tweet. There is proper sentence structure in listing the attributes, there's no hashtags and no @ signs. It's actually quite simple of a tweer, yet it does hit the under 140 words max and it talks about real life problems plus it's tweeted by @Fact therefore, the attributes connect to the tweeter. So is it a typical tweet? No. Is it still twitter related? Yes. Do you see stuff written on twitter like this? All the time bruh.

So what's the purpose of this tweet. Is it really just comedic or is it actually explaining a real word issue? I think that this tweet is a representation of the real world. Personally, the list is really relatable. There is plenty of times that I can not fall asleep because of various reasons like messaging friends on the other side of the word as well as worry about bio and chem. #theHLlife. Yet, one of the biggest reasons for the lack of sleep in my day to day life isn't for actual important reasons such as remembering memories whether good or bad or over thinking daily decisions, its the internet. The internet plays a major role in how much sleep I get. Even if I go to bed at 10. By the time I scroll through insta, twitter and some facebook or even watch my friends snapchat stories or a youtube video or some vines. Even if I don't do them all in the same night, at the end of it all, I am so tired at its prob like 11:30-12:30 when I go to sleep (actually), and when I wake up I'll complain about being tired all day where the issue wasn't relevant attributes keeping me awake, it was the internet. Yet this isn't only an issue for me. It's becoming a real world problem. In the study called...

Adolescent Sleep Patterns and Night-Time Technology Use: Results of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation's Big Sleep Survey

It states that:
Use of computers, cell-phones and televisions at higher doses was associated with delayed sleep/wake schedules and wake lag, potentially impairing health and educational outcomes.
As a member of this generation, I completely agree with the conclusion of this study because I can sometimes see the effect of it in my life. Therefore, the tweet although comical, it has some sad yet honest truth to it.

What do you think? Is the internet disrupting your sleep? Let me know and comment below.

Bow down to your Queen.

Peace out Little ones.
