Beware ! Too Much Internet = COCO !! ?????

An article I came across with called "Internet addiction can be as harmful to teenagers' brains as cocaine and cannabis" SHOCKED THE LIVING #### OUT OF ME. So I decided to share it with you guys too, enjoy!

Ok jokes aside, this article, which you can find it in the link below, really talks about the after math of INTERNET OVERDOSE.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-2085516/Internet-addiction-harmful-teenagers-brains-cocaine-cannabis.html

"In the IAD-diagnosed teenagers, the scientists found evidence of disruption to 'white matter' nerve fibres connecting vital parts of the brain involved in emotions, decision making, and self-control."

Emotion disorder, horrible decision making, anger issues!!!??? Wait a minute...I have them all! Not so much as emotion disorder, but surely I have horrible decision making and anger issues!! That's why I use so much exclamation marks!!!!!!!

So how did they come to this result? Well, a doctor in China completed a research on thirty few students' brain and found out that the students who are internet addicted have...how can I put this...less proper functional organs than the students who aren't.
Now you must have said

So yes, it's true! Internet addiction can make you dumber!

"Commenting on the findings, Dr Henrietta Bowden-Jones, consultant psychiatrist at Imperial College London, said: 'This type of research exploring the differences between normal brains and brains of people who suffer from internet addictions is groundbreaking as it makes clear neuroimaging links between internet addiction and other addictions such as alcohol, cocaine and cannabis amongst others. 'We are finally been told what clinicians suspected for some time now, that white matter abnormalities in the orbito-frontal cortex and other truly significant brain areas are present not only in addictions where substances are involved but also in behavioural ones such as internet addiction."

Okay, okay, okay, I personally think that they went a little too overboard with

internet addiction = / > drugs. And I don't think 10 hours of internet each night is equal to or worse than 10 pounds of cocaine. Look at the Esports players who spend 14 hours a day in front of a "highly radioactive" screen!
What I'm trying to say here is that the author sends a really important message to everyone through a very shocking but memorable way. Just like how my mom would use to say, "when you're on that computer, you look like you're on drug!"
Nevertheless, I think that the author has a point, that internet addiction is actually something to be aware of. As more and more generations of people interact with the internet, stronger side effects will essentially occur. It's just a matter of time that the people will take internet addiction seriously.
