Well, you might not actually understand what those two 'ism' means. Let's start with their definitions.
Slacktivism: "Slacktivism can be defined as the act of showing support for a cause but only truly being beneficial to the egos of people participating in this so-called activism.", in short, slacktivism means people only speak instead of doing something to make things changed.
Activism: "Activism consists of efforts to promote, impede, or direct social, political, economic, or environmental change, or stasis with the desire to make improvements in society and to correct social injustice.", it is basically saying that people ACTUALLY are doing things to make lives better:)
WELL...

In recent years, people are getting used to socialize by using social medias such as Twitter, facebook, instagram and so on.
SOOOOOOOO HERE COMES THE POINT!PEOPLE JUST LOVE USING HASHTAGS!!!
AND YOU KNOW PEOPLE LIKE TO JUDGE PEOPLE;)
Then people just start to judge those hashtags by whether it could be considered as 'activism' or 'slacktivism'.
If it is 'activism', people prefer to consider it as 'good', if it is 'slacktivism', it is 'bad'
Here's what my face looks like right now

SERIOUSLY?
Let's talk about those hashtags then.
#ICEBUCKETCHANLLENGE came out in 2014. At first, it was not called as this name, it was called 'cold water challenge'.
This hashtag aims for letting the public to know what 'ALS' is--- it is a disease which could cause a person's body gradually 'frozen'.
The rule of this challenge is that you pull a bucket of ice water over you and you nominate other two people to do this challenge pr donate 100$ .
This hashtag was successful: it raised more than 15M$.
Yes, this hashtag is 'activism'!!!!
Yes, it did change something
However, on the other hand, some people did this challenge just for fun or killing their time, as a result, they still have no idea about what the disease is, and they still do not care about those patients.
So you consider that as good?
#PRAYFORPARIS
"On the evening of Friday 13 November 2015, a series of coordinated terrorist attacks occurred in Paris and its northern suburb, Saint-Denis."
This is where the hashtag came from. To be honest, for this hashtag, in my opinion, the only function it does is conveying the news through social media:
People just changed their profile images of facebook to images have the colors of french country's flag---- at least that is what I saw.
Very obvious, it is basically 'slacktivism'----there were a few parades or protests or public events to reflect on this hashtag.
That is the POINT!!
Even if there were parades or public events, can anyone change anything?
The answer is NO!
It's already happened!!! And no one could change the result.
People need to look forward instead of those pasts, those wounds.
It's a closure.
So you are telling me that is 'bad'?
#FREEKESHA
Ke$ha is a famous international singer. However couple months ago, people fuond out that her song writer had sexually abused her for several years.
And people try to use this hashtag to spread the information and try to draw attention from the public---because the court refused to diminish the contract between her and the song writer.
So this is, again, 'slacktivism'.
Yes people are actually doing nothing useful, but people could only do these things to her.
Because no one can be her, this is the thing which could only be solved by herself.
So you consider this as bad?
IN SHORT, It is hard for me to judge which one of those two--ACTIVISM & SLACKTIVISM-- is good or bad.
