DO YOU HAVE A PSYCHOLOGICAL ADDICTION

Hello, my little ones, it's Moi again

Have you all met Mitchell Moffit and Gregory Brown?
They Canadian meaning they too love themselves some Timmys and beavers.
But more importantly, they run ASAPScience Youtube page.

So Mitch and Greg are the hosts of ASAPScience and ASAPThought where they talk about a variety of different scientific things. One of my favourite and most interesting videos is their video called:

5 Crazy Ways Social Media Is Changing Your Brain Right Now

Practically, the video lists 5 of the largest effects that social media has on our body. They expalin that social media sites are used by 1/3 of the entire world.

!1/3!
From that we can see that there is some sort of a social media frenzy occurring thus scientists, doing what they do, have studied us and here is the results.

  1. 5-10% of internet users can not control how much to use. This has become a psychological addiction.
  2. Media users do worse on task switching activities, contrary to what people believe.
  3. Phantom vibration syndrome now exists...
  4. Social Media releases Dopamine the feel good hormone. Our body is rewarding physiologically rewarding ourselves by speaking  about ourselves online.
  5. There is an increase in relationships by meeting online.

So in their video, practically speaking, Mitch and Greg explain the actual effects of social media on our minds and bodies. Science shows that social media is officially becoming an addiction, a psychological one similar to that of drugs.

SCARYYYYYYY.

Rationally speaking, as trustworthy as Mitch and Greg may seem to be, I mean look at that smile, one must look deeper into the studies and see if more similar studies have concluded to the same thing. Obviously one study is not enough to express the harsh but real reality but with time, we might be able to see the actual effects of social media on our body.

Not going to far into the future, but how many of us have seen differences in our work habits after we opened a facebook account or Instagram. Or this phone vibration syndrome, have you ever felt like your phone was vibrating when in reality it wasn't?

Although Greg and Mitch make youtube videos with a white board and some markers, their credited students who bring science into our everyday lives with videos that we can not only learn from but want to see.

The effects of this video were far greater than any article for me. Reading articles, you just skim through, but when it's in a video with comedic cartoons and some fear aspects put into, all you want to do is learn more to make yourself better for the sake of your own health.

I think that there is truth to their video, what about you little ones.

Anyways, my blogging career is over.
The experience has been very great and rewarding and I have learnt a lot about myself.
Love you all! ðŸ˜˜

Bow down to your Queen.

Peace out Little ones.
