YEAH.I was a member of the 1,029,717,906 people...
In the beginning, I used the Internet for watching videos and cartoons. And sometimes, if the teachers required, I would searched some information. However, I can only use the computer two hours a week. And if I stayed before the computer over 40 minutes, my mom would ask me to turn off the computer.Like this.
So, I can say that I grow up with the Internet. As an international student, I use the Internet more.Just like Danny Hillis says, the Internet connection is the backbone of modern life.So when I first read this sentence, I was confused. How can the Internet use us? We use the Internet all the time.By chance, I was entering a verification code at that time.I suddenly realized that INTERNET IS USING US!! Our privacy is threatened by the Internet. So, the annoying verification codes are good for our privacy!!!Don’t hate them anymore!!The video which we watched in class says that the Internet stores our information for at least two months and up to over two years.Recently,my mom has told me that she receives more and more crank calls. And she said they not only know your phone number, they even know your NAME!Your JOB!Your WORK ADDRESS! That’s too terrible!! How can a stranger know so many things about you! They get most of the personal information from the Internet. And usually they are free. The Internet does not know who are you, so it shares information to everyone. As social media developing, we are more likely to share our life online. For example, if we eat something delicious, we will take a photo of it and post on twitter and Facebook. As thus, strangers can learn about you easily.
Anyways, although the Internet sometimes invades our privacy,in most cases, we still use the Internet in a leading role because humans create the Internet. For the privacy and security problems, we need to solve by our own because usually WE make those information public. We cannot blame the Internet. We use the Internet and find that we can get lots of benefits from the Internet. At least for me, I think it is me who using the Internet, not the Internet using me.
