PIU?- Careful Little Ones

March 3rd, 2k16

Hello, my little ones, it's Moi again and today we are talking about PIU?

Now I know what you are all thinking, "WTF is PIU?"

Trust me, I literally had the exact same reaction as you. Yunno, I was chilling in class, talking, same old, same old and here the teacher comes with this article and all that leads to where we are at today.

PIU means Problematic Internet Use.

Do I think there is a problem?

Oh Hell ya!

So the article says that children as young as four years old are now receiving iPads as gifts and that the populations such as like the older siblings don't agree.

Yunno, I feel 'em.

I remember how my bro, he got his first apple product a year before me, and I am three years older. Like doesn't it furiate you when your younger sibs get something before you? I can't even.

Like parents need to understand, that us the older kids don't like it when the little ones get special privileges before we were able to when we were their age. UGH!!! Like this ladies and gentlemen is a real life crisis that a cure needs to be found for.

Getting off that tangent, Children, especially little ones, really shouldn't be receiving such grand presents at such a young age. When I was little, you was the thing if you had the newest tamagotchi or bratz doll, no joke. Throwback to the early 2000, when a birthday gift costed<$100. Literally *rolls eyes.*

More importantly, children having access to technology causes many problems. So this chick says that studies have shown that children are using the internet starting age 3, YES 3, I mean when I was 3 my brother was born and Caillou was my bae, yet, nowadays children things have gotten a little more crazier than a bald Canadian kid who has such a  simple life. SO... she says

Children are viewing self-harm, violent pornography, animal cruelty and eating disorder websites and more than a quarter admit they pretend to be older to access certain sites.

Like I don;t know about you, but I'm feeling 22, no JK, but like I think we really need to evaluate this. Like Children+Porn=NO! Like, who you kiddin. In this buzzfeed video where people talk about their first experience watching porn, as adults you can see how much more difficult it was for them than for this current generation we see.

Yet, nothing is happening to save the innocence of these children. Most children spend hours watching TV, playing on an iPad, like this shiz is crazy and I promise half the parents have no idea what is going on in their life.

Firstly, I got this anonymous parent to explain what they think about this situation.

My Child, she is 5 and I think she speands less than 2 hours a day in front of the screen. She's very limited to what she can watch and what device she can use and the rule is that she can only be infront of a screen in the living room where we can keep watch.

Yet, that's un personne, what about everybody else?

Having a family with a lot of little ones age 0-6, I can easily say that screen time is taking over. I know kids that won't even eat unless the have the TV or iPad in front of them. This kid is 1. When I was little asking to watch TV was a joke. Like no, don't even, don't try, walk away kiddo. Than we see kids now watching on their little iPads like no limits.

I FEAR FOR THE FUTURE!

I think we all need to either dig up some graves for ourselves cuz we can also be diagnosed with PIU, or make a change. Limitations people, limitations.

I mean... like... I am not constantly on my phone, psh... who you talking about.

Now I GTG, and answer like 159 missed messages on mah phone.

Bow down to your Queen.

Peace out Little Ones.
