Internet overuse: Is it always bad?

I have nothing to do, so I spend my time on the Internet!

Before I start, let me ask you a question: "How many hours do you spend on the computer using the Internet for a week?"
a) 10-15 hours
b) 16-20 hours
c)  21-25 hours
d) More than 25 hours

If you chose a) I would say: "You are a liar!!!!"
If you chose b) I would say: "Nah, you are still a liar!!!"
If you chose c) I would say: "Hmm, it's possible."
If you chose d) I would say: "Welcome to my WORLD!!!"

Indeed, I spend more than 25 hours a week scrolling through each post on Facebook, watching movies and playing games. If you need a specific number, I can say: "50 hours". But that number is just close enough to the reality, which means I SPEND MORE THAN THAT! So am I addicted to the Internet? Personally, I don't think I am.

So what makes me spend that much of time on the Internet? Here is the list of reasons:
1. Facebook is the best way to ask friends about homework.
2. Chatting with my friends.
3. The only way I can talk to my family and my Vietnamese friends.
4. Studying requires ACCESS TO THE INTERNET.
5. I cannot go anywhere since it has been raining the whole week.
6. Even when it's sunny all day, I still have homework to do!!!
7. No one invites me :((((( Tears!
8. And others.

However, overusing the Internet doesn't affect negatively to my life. I have tons of homework to do, so it's better to stay at home and finish up everything before I regret my decision for spending all day wandering around downtown Vancouver (again I need the Internet for studying). Moreover, if it is a holiday and someone call for each other and hang out, I will definitely jump off the bed and get changed immediately.

So my answer for the question: "Is it always bad?" is: No, it is not always bad. It depends on how you are using it for what occasion. If the list of reasons are rational and for your good, don't worry too much about it. You are not in danger!
